Hi, my name is Antara! I'm a junior at George Washington University majoring in International Affairs with a Conflict Resolution concentration and Public Health minor.
Now more than ever, we’ve seen the importance of social solidarity, empathy, and love. I'm an advocate for social change and a firm believer in the power of representation. After all, women belong in the house... and the Senate.
I'm currently involved on campus with the GW Bhangra Indian dance team and the GW Theatre Department. In the past, I’ve worked with the Women and Girls Foundation GirlGov program, advocating for racial justice in Pittsburgh Public Schools. I also enjoyed being a part of the National Speech and Debate Honor Society, Future Business Leaders of America, and Natural Helpers in high school. When I'm not busy, you can catch me performing Indian classical dance or finetuning my K-Pop lip-syncing. Please check out my portfolio for some of my work!
I also gave a TEDx talk about my experiences with code-switching, which you can find below.
